Setting up WIZABU on your Windows machine will only require it to be set up once until you change your Bishop's password. Until then, your machine will automatically connect to the network as soon as you're on campus.
How to set up WIZABU (Wireless Internet Zone @ Bishop's University)
- Open 'Control Panel'
- Select 'Network and Internet'
- Select 'Network and Sharing Center'
- Select 'Manage wireless networks'
- Select 'Manually connect to a wireless network'
- Enter the following information into the correct sections:
- Network name: WIZABU
- Security type: WPA2-Enterprise
- Encryption type: AES
- Ensure that 'Start this connection automatically' IS selected.
- Click on 'Change connection settings'
- On the 'Security' tab, select 'Settings'
- On this new window, there are two important steps:
- UNCHECK 'Validate server certificate'
- Select 'Configure'
- UNCHECK 'Automatically use my Windows logon name and password' Click 'Okay' on all open windows.
- WIZABU will ask you to enter your Bishop's username (i.e. NAME00) and password MULTIPLE TIMES. Enter these as many times as you're asked until the network finally connects.
