How to make an official Bishop's email signature

Outlook 2010

  1. Open your Internet Browser (Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc.) and go to http://www.ubishops.ca/logos/
  2. Scroll down to the middle of the page where you will see Example of New Email Signature, and highlight the entire block of text, then press Ctrl+C on your keyboard to copy the text;
  3. Open Microsoft Outlook and click on the File menu in the top left;
  4. At the bottom of the File menu, click the Options button;
  5. In the window that pops up, click the Mail section (the option in the left-hand column) and then click the Signatures… button on the right
  6. In the Signatures and Stationary window that pops up, click on New and type in a name for your signature, and click OK;

  7. Click somewhere in the large white text box under Edit Signature and then press Ctrl+V on your keyboard to paste the signature text you copied earlier. Change the text to personalize it, making sure you follow the format indicated. Note: make sure you completely remove the line “firstname.lastname@ubishops.ca” before typing your own email, to ensure the link works properly;
  8. To the right, ensure that under Choose default signature you set both New messages and Replies/forwards to the name of the signature you are creating so that this signature will automatically be added to the end of every message you compose
  9. Click OK to exit - you’re done!
