Jean Manore
is a professor in the Bishop’s University History Department. Her research interests include Native/settler relations in Canada as well as the study and practice of public history. In 1999, Dr. Manore combined her two interests by launching a research and consulting company with her partner, Mr. Dale Miner, which specializes in Aboriginal issues. The History Department offers courses in Public History, designed to give students both the intellectual understanding of history outside academia, and practical experience in museum, archival and/or consulting work.
