Jacquie Laidler

LENNOXVILLE – Jacquie Laidler, a first-year centre with the Bishop's Gaiters Women's Rugby team, will be in the starting lineup as the Canadian Under-20 Women's National Team takes on the United States this afternoon in Tampa, Fla.

Laidler, the only player based in the Quebec University Rugby Union to be named to the squad, will start at prop, which has been her natural position.

"We absolutely could not be prouder, Jacquie battled back from a broken leg earlier this fall to prepare for this camp, something she has been working for and preparing for for a very long time," said Eryn Hessian, the Head Coach of the Gaiters' Women's Rugby team. "We will certainly all be rooting for her tomorrow as she takes on the USA in her first of many international appearances."
