The Gaiters were idle last weekend. They return to action on Friday and Saturday, with games against UQAM and McGill. At 4-6, the Gaiters are currently tied for fourth place in the QUBL with 4-9 Concordia and six points out of third, but the Gaiters have at least two games in hand on the rest of the league.

The Gaiters close out the regular season with six games over the next three weeks, including four at home.

UP NEXT: The Gaiters visit UQAM on Friday night, and host Laval on Saturday. Tipoff for both games is set for 8 p.m.

The Gaiters enjoyed a rare late-season bye week last week, and now face six games over the last three weekends of the regular season. Bishop's is currently 4-6 in QUBL play, and tied for fourth with Concordia (4-9). The Gaiters are four points behind both McGill (6-7) and UQAM (6-6) with at least two games in hand on the rest of the league.

Four of the Gaiters' last six regular-season games will be at home.

UP NEXT: The Gaiters return to action on Friday night with a visit to UQAM, and are back in Lennoxville on Saturday, where the No. 7-ranked Laval Rouge et Or will visit. Both games are set to tip off at 6 p.m.

Gaiters suffer late loss at home to Concordia

The Gaiters returned home last Friday, hoping to end their season-opening three-game losing streak. However, goals by Concordia's Sarah Burge in the 80th and 85th minute broke a 2-2 tie, giving the Stingers a 4-2 victory. Steph Burnett and Christine Vidal scored for the Gaiters, while Alison Burgess and Catrina Gugliemucci scored the other Concordia markers.

UP NEXT: The Gaiters (0-4) will visit the UQTR Patriotes (0-4) on Sunday afternoon, looking for their first win of the season. The Patriotes have scored only one goal in their first four games, while conceding 13. Kickoff in Trois-Rivières is set for 2 p.m.

On Saturday, the Polar Bears dropped a 6-2 decision to the Sherbrooke RW senior team. The Polar Bears got off to a slow start, and fell behind 3-0 in the first half of the first period. The Bears rebounded in the latter stages, keyed by goals from Sacha Vanasse Gauche and Lindsay Hamilton, but the visitors cruised to the 6-2 victory.
