Women's Hockey returns to action with loss to Sherbrooke,
Eastern trip set for this weekend
The Bishop's Polar
Bears returned to action with a narrow 5-4 loss to the
Sherbrooke Junior A's on Monday night. The Bears had been idle
for six weeks, and that showed as they fell behind 4-0 to the
local side. However, the Bears stormed back with four goals in
the third period, falling just short of completing the comeback.
The Bishop's goal-scorers were Emilie Walker, Chantal Richard,
Lane Laplante and Sarah Bennett.
UP NEXT: The Polar
Bears will head to the Maritimes for a road trip this weekend.
On Friday night, they will play the UNB Red Blazers. Faceoff in
Fredericton is set for 6 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, the Bears
will compete in the Holland College Intercollegiate Women's
Hockey Challenge Cup in North Rustico, P.E.I. The Bears will
face Holland College, UNB Saint John and a local senior team
over the course of the two-day tournament. The two top teams
