This week’s Pilsen Pub Athlete of the Week is Melanie Ouellet-Godcharles (Gatineau, Que.) of
the Women's Basketball team.
Ouellet-Godcharles led the Gaiters with 15 points in their semifinal
loss to Laval on Wednesday night. Ouellet-Godcharles was 4-for-14 from
the field and 5-for-6 from the foul line in 32 minutes on Wednesday
night. She also made a game-high three steals in the 69-51 defeat.

with semi-final loss at Laval

Women’s Basketball
lost their only game this week, a 72-66 decision at Concordia. The loss
puts the Gaiters in fourth place in the final QUBL standings.

The Bishop's Gaiters' Women's Basketball season came to an end tonight
as they were downed 69-51 by the Laval Rouge et Or in a QUBL Semifinal
in Quebec City. The defeat marks the third consecutive time Bishop's has
fallen to Laval in the QUBL playoffs, and ends a streak of five
consecutive QUBL Championship appearances for the Gaiters.
Melanie Ouellet-Godcharles (Gatineau, Que.) led the Gaiters with 15
points, while Jessy Roy (Val d'Or, Que.) and Sarah Gutkin-Sweezey
(Boucherville, Que.) added 10 points each in the losing cause.

WOMEN’S INDOOR SOCCER
(0-7-0, 8th QUISL)
Gaiters forfeit match to Concordia
Due to a lack of
available players, the Gaiters were forced to forfeit their final indoor
soccer match of the regular season. The game is recorded as a 3-0 win
for Concordia. The loss dropped the Gaiters into eighth place in the
QUISL, behind the 1-7-0 Stingers.
UP NEXT: The #8-seeded Gaiters will travel
to St-Eustache to face the top-seeded Laval Rouge et Or (7-0-0) in the
league quarterfinals.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. Saturday
