WOMEN’S INDOOR SOCCER
(0-6-0, T-7th QUISL)
Eight-man Gaiters downed by McGill
Indoor
Soccer continued last Saturday with a 7-0 loss at the hands of the
McGill Martlets in St-Eustache.
The Gaiters, beset by
the twin devils of injuries and suspensions, were only able to dress ten
players for the game. Despite playing shorthanded, and losing one player
to injury during the first half, Bishop's trailed only 1-0 at the break.
However, disaster struck
in the second half as a second player went down, forcing Bishop's to
finish the match with eight players. That set off the goal-fest, as McGill dropped
in six goals in the final half-hour of the match to cruise to the victory.
Gaiters' goalkeeper Chelsea-Lyn Aboud was named the player of the game
for her 17-save performance in the game.
UP NEXT: The Gaiters return to the Centre
Multisport on Sunday to close out the regular season against the
Concordia Stingers (0-7-0).
Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
