Lady Gaiters lose final game against Laval

Oct. 31, 2006 – The Lady Gaiters (1-9-3) finished their season with a 6-0 loss to the Laval Rouge et Or Friday afternoon.

Bishop’s rookie goalie Laura Tacchi stopped 13 of the 19 shots. On offence the Gaiters we stymied by a stingy defence, managing only four shots.

For Laval, Caroline Vaillancourt scored four goals, including a hat trick in the first half.

On Sunday, the game between Bishop’s and McGill was cancelled due to poor field conditions.

Cruelle fin de saison pour les Lady Gaiters

La saison des Lady Gaiters a pris fin vendredi alrs que les Lady Gaiters (1-9-3) ont subi un revers de 6-0 contre le Rouge et Or de l’Université Laval.

La gardienne recrue de Bishop’s Laura Tacchi a stoppé 13 des 19 tirs en sa direction. De l’autre côté, les Lady Gaiters ont tiré à quatre reprises mais seulement un tir a été en direction du filet adverse.

Pour Laval, Caroline Vaillancourt a inscrit quatre buts, dont un tour du chapeau en première demie.

Dimanche, le match entre Bishop’s et McGill a été annulé en raison de la mauvaise condition du terrain.
