Bishop’s shutout in pair of weekend losses

Oct. 14, 2006 – A pair of shutout losses over the weekend caused the Lady Gaiters record to fall to 1-7-2 on the season. On Friday evening the Lady Gaiters fell 7-0 to the Montreal Carabins and on Sunday afternoon the Lady Gaiters lost 4-0 to the Concordia Stingers.

The Lady Gaiters next game is scheduled for this Friday evening when they will travel to Montreal to face UQAM.

On Thanksgiving Monday the Lady Gaiters earned their first win of the season, defeating UQTR 2-1 in the second game of their home and home series with the Patriotes. Jennifer Prokosh and Lauren Proudfoot scored a goal each for the Lady Gaiters. Proudfoot's scored the winning goal at the 85 minute mark, breaking a 1-1 tie and giving the Lady Gaiters their first two goal game since September 2004.
