Women's Rugy: Gaiters split weekend

Lennoxville, Sept. 26, 2005 - Bishop's University women's rugby team split a pair of games in conference play this past weekend. The Gaiters first defeated their neighbours, the Université de Sherbrooke Vert et Or 37-0 on Friday.

Tanya Black scored two tries for the Lady Gaiters. Tries were also recorded by capitain Kathleen Bagshaw, Amy Gallant, Julie Snooks, Cailin McCulloch and Vanya Skipper.

Bishop's then lost to Ottawa 38-5 on Sunday. Marnie Hurst scored Bishop's lone try. The women will host Concordia on Oct. 2 at 1 p.m. in Lennoxville.
