Lee & Jones named QUFL Players of the Week

Oct. 17, 2005 – Jamall Lee and Kyle Jones of the Bishop’s Gaiters and the Montreal Carabins’ Michael Shousha have been named the Quebec University Football League's Players of the Week.

Offense
Lee, a 18-year-old running back from Port Coquitlam, BC, rushed for 222 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bishop’s Gaiters to a 27-4 win over McGill Redmen Saturday. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound first-year humanities major scored on runs of 61 and 14 yards to lead the Gaiters to their first win of the season.

Defense
Jones, a 19-year-old linebacker from Mississauga, Ont., had eight solo and one assisted tackles and an 85-yard interception return that sealed the Gaiters 27-4 win over the McGill Reedmen Saturday. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound first year business student also had a sack and a tackle for a four-yard loss.

Special Teams
Shousha, a 21-year old receiver/punter from Laval, Que, punted 10 times for 404 yards to provide the Montreal Carabins with great field position in their to a 24-21 win over the Concordia Stingers Saturday in the annual Shrine Bowl. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound second-year general mechanics student had a personal season-high 64-yard punt in the contest.
