Gaiters battle to the end
Rookie Jamall Lee rushed for 125 yards

Lennoxville, Sept. 24, 2005 - The No. 8-ranked Concordia Stingers scored 17 points in a row in the sec quarter en route to a 31-17 victory over the hometown Bishop's Gaiters at the annual  Homecoming game before a crowd of 2478 fans.

Gaiters (0-4) came back in fourth quarter with 17 points including two one yard rushing touchdown by 18-year-old rookie Jamall Lee.

Lee finished with 125 yards on 22 carries. Quarterback Joel Lefebvre completed 18 of 34 passes for 222 yards but was intercepted twice and sacked on four occasions.

Concordia's Syvrett passed for 335 yards and three touchdowns. He was 22-of-32 on the day, connecting with Mike Renaud for two passing majors, he also connected with Nick Scissons for an other touchdown as the Stingers built a comfortable 28-0 lead after three quarters.

Daniel Mott, who entered the game as the CIS leader with 23 catches and 332 receiving yards, added nine receptions for 122 yards against Bishop's.

Bishop's visits the No. 5 Montreal Carabins (3-1) while No. 8 Concordia (4-0) visits the No. 1 Laval Rouge et Or (4-0) on Sunday, Oct. 2.
