At Lennoxville, the third-ranked Laval Rouge et Or intercepted six passes on its way to a 15-0 shutout over the Bishop's Gaiters.

Sebastien Sejean and Philipp Gauthier each had two interceptions for the Vanier Cup champions, while defensive end Miguel Robede also played a key role in the defensive stand with 6.5 tackles and one quarterback sack.

Laval opened the scoring with 53 seconds left in the first quarter when William Leclerc connected with Jean-François Romeo on a 46-yard pass. The Rouge et Or added a safety in the second frame, before Rod McCullum hit two field goals in the final 10 minutes of the game.

Jeronimo Huerta-Flores had his second consecutive 100-yard game on the ground for Laval with 131 yards on 16 carries, while Romeo was the top receiver with four catches for 72 yards. Leclerc was picked off three times.

Freshman Kyle Williams, who was good on eight of 21 attempts for 165 yards, threw the first four interceptions for Bishop's. Backup Pat Nadeau was intercepted on his only two attempts.

Laval (2-0) hosts Montreal on September 19. Bishop's (0-2) plays at McGill (1-1) on Saturday.
