Gaiters soccer drops
to 0-6 A disappointing Saturday afternoon was had by the Bishop’s Lady Gaiters soccer team, dropping their fifth consecutive game of the season to UQAM 2-0. Bishop’s appeared to be on the rebound from last weekend’s disappointing loss to UQTR, coming out on fire by pressuring on offence. Unfortunately the team could still not capitalize on those opportunities, as has been the case most of the season, and ultimately dropped the contest. “We’ve been unlucky, we have simply
missed opportunities,” said head coach Michael Richardson after the
contest. “A mistake costs us our first goal, and we should be able to
rebound after that. I’m proud of the way the girls Sunday afternoon the team dropped another contest, this time losing 3-1 to Concordia. Katie Sparkman was the Gaiters lone goal scorer as the team dropped to 0-6 on the season. “Even though we are in a spot, we still have a chance at the playoffs,” says Richardson. “The teams in this conference are beating each other, right now there is no clear frontrunner, so there is still an opportunity.” |
