Gaiters Soccer
welcomes new addition The Lady Gaiters Soccer team is pleased to announce the addition of Andrew McCambridge to the coaching staff. "Its great to have Andrew on Board,” said head coach Michael Richardson. “Both Darren (Goal keeping coach) and I played soccer with him in Montreal and he's a strong player with years of experience who can teach by example.” McCambridge brings to the Gaiters over 25 years of playing experience, with ten of those years coming from a stint as a central midfielder for Kirkland United in Montreal's Metropolitan League. He also has experience playing for Kirkland in Montreal's Elite League, as well as a two year stint on the Seoul International Soccer Team in Seoul, Korea. McCambridge is currently working as an English teacher at Champlain College. The addition of McCambridge brings the coaching staff back up to three after the departure of Arnulf Koegler as head coach early in the season. “He's already been out for a few practices and the girls seem to really appreciate his passion for the game,” says Richardson. “His experience as a teacher means that he's also able to explain the finer points of the game in a way that the girls can understand." Bishop’s will be facing the University of Quebec at Montreal this Saturday, live on the field adjoining Abbott at 1:00 p.m. Stay tuned to www.ubishops.ca/Gaiters for all of your Bishop’s Women’s Soccer Action |
