Men's Rugby Gaiters drop important match to McGill, move to 4-1-1
September 6, 2003   Bishop's Sports Information

The Gaiters men’s Rugby team lost a tough decision Friday night under the lights of Optimist Field, falling 22-11 to McGill University. The game was billed as a precursor to the QSSF final as both teams came into the game at the top of the conference.

Bishop’s battled hard for most of the match and despite a solid effort from team captain Andy Wanka, who had two converts, was unable to come away with the victory. Bishop’s lone try was scored by Matt Gagnon.

The Gaiters have two league games remaining on the schedule as the team will face Sherbrooke and McGill in the coming weeks before the playoffs begin November 2.
