Men's Rugby continues
winning ways
The men continued their winning ways Sunday afternoon,
demonstrating their dominance over Concordia en route to a muddy 21-0
victory. Earlier in the season the Gaiters had squandered a 19-3 lead
before tying the Concordia Stingers 25-25. This time Bishop’s would simply
not allow the same to happen. “This first half was very well played, but things began to fall apart somewhat in the second half,” says Gaiters head coach Bill Robson. “I don’t know if it’s fitness or just some type of breakdown, but we have to work that out before we get into the tail end of the season.” Try’s were scored by Matt Phiney, Shea McEachren and Rob Scraton. Bishop’s next home game is Friday October 3 at home against the McGill Redmen in what is expected to be a battle for first place in the conference.
