Colon signs with Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Purple and Silver recruiting dinner this weekend

    All-Canadian receiver Gilles Colon has signed with the CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers for the upcoming season. Although details of the contract have yet to be released, Colon says he is very happy with the agreement reached yesterday.

"We started talking after the Vanier Cup, the showed a definite interest, so now I will report to training camp in the spring and we will take things from there," says Colon. "It's a great opportunity, something I have been aspiring towards since I arrived at Bishop's."

The announcement comes right before the Gaiters traditional Purple and Silver recruiting weekend, which will take place this Saturday night. Recruits from across the country will be in attendance, taking in a basketball double header at Mitchell Gymnasium as well.
