Season Recap
Oct. 31, 2005
Lady Gaiters struggle to 2-12
record With thirteen rookies on their 2005 roster,
the Bishop’s Gaiters women’s soccer team entered the 2005 season with a
recognition that the season would largely be about rebuilding and
development. And while Bishop’s 2-12 record would reflect their
inexperience the improvement shown by the squad over the course of the
season reflected the team’s potential and hopefully provided a sign of
things to come in 2006.
Following a 1-0 season opening victory over UQAM, the Lady Gaiters
dropped their next eleven conference games, while only managing to score
one goal over that span. A victory over UQTR in the second to last game
of the season, however, gave Bishop’s its second win of the season, one
more than the team marked in 2004. Lisa Wagner led the way for the
Gaiters this season, scoring all three of Bishop’s goals.

weekend losses Oct. 25, 2005

soccer team lost both of their games this weekend, falling 6-0 to
cross-town rivals Sherbrooke (5-6-1) on Friday evening and then losing
2-0 to Laval (8-3-1) Sunday afternoon. The pair of road losses dropped
Bishop’s record on the season to 1-11.
The Lady Gaiters season will come to a close this weekend. They will
host UQTR (1-10) Saturday at noon before traveling to Montreal to face
Concordia (7-4 on Sunday afternoon.
- Gaiters
lose against #1-ranked Montreal
Oct. 20, 2005
The Bishop’s Lady Gaiter
soccer team (1-9) lost both of their games this past weekend. Bishop’s
fell 1-0 to UQAM (2-8) on Friday afternoon and then lost 5-0 to #1
Montreal (8-0-2) on Sunday.
Bishop’s will be in action once again this weekend as they will play
Sherbrooke (4-5-1) on Friday afternoon before taking on Laval (7-2-1) on
Sunday.
