BU run for ALS raised $2000

Sherbrooke - 3 April, 2008

“Last Saturdays run was a success” says student coordinator of the event Lisa Wagner. “Although the weather was extremely cold (-15 oC), over 130 runners participated and $2000 was raised for ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease)”.

The winners of the women's and men's 8 km race were:
Tara Holland, Environmental Studies Professor and James Yurichuk, Social Studies and Secondary Education Major student.
The winners of the women's and men's 4 km race were:
Patrick Corney, Political Studies Honor student and Avalon Henry, Psychology and Human Resource Management Major student.

On March 29th, students organized an event to raise funds for ALS, the disease Tony Proudfoot, former football player for the Montreal Alouettes was diagnosed with. Proudfoot is Bishop's University soccer athlete Lauren Proudfoot's father.
