Gaiters home games to be webcast on SSN Canada

LENNOXVILLE, Que. – The Bishop’s University Athletic Department is pleased to announce that all varsity home games will be webcast on SSN Canada this season. This represents a significant expansion of the partnership between the Gaiters and SSN that began in January 2010 with webcasts of home basketball games.

With the addition of webcasts in rugby, soccer and football, there will be 35 home events available for alumni, parents and fans to watch during the 2010-11 school year. Games will be available on the Gaiters’ website at www.gaiters.ca and on the SSN Canada site at www.ssncanada.ca.

The first webcast of the new season will come on Saturday night, September 4, at 7 p.m. as the Gaiters football team hosts Concordia at Coulter Field.

Sean O’Neill ’08 and Geoffrey Britnell ’11 will provide commentary for the football webcasts. The broadcast crews for the other sports are still to be announced.

The first webcast in soccer will come on Sunday, September 12, as the Gaiters host McGill. The inaugural rugby webcasts will follow on Homecoming Friday, September 17, while the first basketball webcasts of the year will be the men’s games against Waterloo on October 22 and 23.
