ESG 354Impact AssessmentEnvironmental impact assessment (EIA) is intended to provide a basis for deciding whether and how to proceed with a proposed resource development project so as to prevent or minimize environmental degradation. This course will examine the theory, methods, regulatory frameworks and social implications of EIA with emphasis on recent Canadian case studies. Prerequisite: ESG 249.
