This course explores the myths, rituals and beliefs associated with death and dying in antiquity. Topics to be covered include: myths associated with the afterlife; books of the dead; magic and death rituals; understaindings of heaven, hell and judgement.

Prerequisite: Religion 100 or 101 or 122 or permission of the instructor
