The course is designed to give students the opportunity to develop the oral and written skills as well as the confidence needed to complement the study of grammar, previously undertaken, with a variety of contemporary texts empahsizing the more practical aspects pertaining to the country's historical, social and cultural manifestations. A linguistic analysis of students' written assignments, aiming at reviewing structures and vocabulary, will be dealt with by way of group discussions.

Prerequisite: Italian 100ab or Italian 102b or equivalent
Corequisite: Italian 201a
