Continuation of HIS 490a. The student will complete the research agenda detailed in HIS490, and present the findings in the form of a thesis no later than two weeks before the marks deadline. The thesis should be modeled upon a learned article. It should be no more than 10000 words: quality of analysis and conceptual rigour will outweigh exhauxtive treatment of the subject. An oral examination will be required, and the thesis will be assessed by the panel of the preceding course.
