This course is designed to engage teachers candidates in a critical examination of key concepts and issues in the field of educaiton that help us approach quesitons of identity, difference, pluralism and social justice from an historical, philosophical and sociological perspective. Drawing from a range of theoretical and practical as well as multimedia resources, we will try to develop a critical awareness as reflective practitioners in relation to the social forces that influence the teaching-learning process in diverse societies.
