The aim of this course is to introduce students to the civilzations of ancient Greece and Rome. We will explore language, literature, art, religion, myth, history, politics, geography, science and technology, as we investigate the many aspects of food production and consumption from cannibalism in Greek tradegy to the best way to stuff a dormouse. At the end of the course we will cook a meal and celebrate the Classical world.
