We offer assistance to all students who wish to improve their academic learning skills. Issues dealt with include:
- effective time management
- the art of taking an exam
- effective study reading
- effective learning from lectures
- managing exam anxiety
- dealing with procrastination
This assistance is offered in the following formats:
Individual appointments with a counsellor
Workshops that focus on the development of effective study skills and strategies
A small lending library of learning skills resources
A peer tutoring service whereby students may receive assistance with their course work from fellow-students who have already successfully completed the same courses. Because this service is subsidized, students are only required to pay a nominal hourly charge.
