184th Bishop's Convocation Ceremony

             May 31st, 2013

             June 1st, 2013

Welcome to the 184th Bishop’s Convocation. As its name suggests, Convocation is the calling together of the members of the University, a reminder that the University is not bricks and mortar but people.  A man or a woman does not cease to be a member of the University upon completion of a course of studies; rather, those who have completed the requirements to be admitted to a degree are received into the next stage of membership in the Bishop’s community at Convocation.

Convocation at Bishop’s University is comprised of three events:  the Chancellor’s dinner on Friday; the Ceremony during which degrees are conferred and Honorands give their addresses; and the mid-day reception on Saturday.

In accordance with Bishop’s University’s statutes, Victoria Meikle, Secretary General hereby gives notice that this year’s convocation ceremonies will be held on May 31, 2013 and June 1, 2013. All ceremonies will take place on campus in the beautiful Centennial Theatre. Due to limited seating capacity, this is a ticketed event, and those without a ticket will not be admitted.

Each graduand will receive a minimum of two tickets and a first-come, first served system will be used for any other seats which become available. Please read the Convocation Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for more details.

Additional information including the dates and times of the ceremonies will be posted to the web site as it becomes available.

For inquiries please contact Ms. Linda Fisk at (819) 822-9600 ext. 2237 or by e-mail.
