Dr. Bardati earned his Bachelor's degree at Bishop's University and his Master's and PhD degrees at McGill University. He serves as the Vice-President of Eastern Townships Research Centre (ETRC), as Canadian representative on Executive Board of the Association of American Geographers' Northeast Division, and on the International Advisory Board of the International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education. He is also adjunct professor at the Université de Sherbrooke. Dr. Bardati conducts research at the nexus of civil society and environmental sustainability, particularly the role of deliberative public participation in the planning and management of natural resources.

Dr. Fletcher has a Ph.D. from McGill University, an M.A. from University of Maryland and a B.A. from Louisiana State University. He teaches a variety of environmental courses as well as human and urban geography. Dr. Fletcher is a member of the Canadian Association of Geographers (CAG) and the Association of American Geographers (AAG). He presents papers at their annual meetings regularly. He is Chairperson of the Public Policy Study Group, Canadian Association of Geographers. Since 2001, he is editor of the Journal of Eastern Townships Studies (JETS) and serves on the Board of Directors for the Eastern Townships Research Centre (ETRC) and for Memphremagog Conservation Incorporated. Additionally, he is a member of an Interim Board of Directors that has recently succeeded in establishing a Quebec group of the Sierra Club of Canada and is working toward the establishment of a Quebec chapter.

Dr. Levac completed a B.Sc. in Physical Geography and a M. Sc. in Earth Sciences at the Université du Québec à Montréal, and a Ph.D. degree in Earth Sciences at Dalhousie University. In 2005, she worked as a post-doctoral fellow for the Halifax Pollen and Spores Monitoring Experiment at St. Mary's University. She taught at St. Francis Xavier University, Dalhousie University, and St. Mary's University in Nova Scotia before choosing Bishop's University. Dr. Levac conducts research in paleoceanography and paleoclimatology, more specifically on abrupt climate changes during the Holocene, on interactions between climate systems and human cultures, and on pollen monitoring and allergies. She was elected president of the Canadian Association of Palynologists for 2008-2010. She is adjunct professor at the Université de Sherbrooke.

Dr. Webber teaches GIS, Resource Management, Physical Geography and Environmental Studies in the Department. Her research investigates improvements to irrigated food production in Central Asia in response to the Aral Sea Crisis and growing food insecurity in the region. She has conducted field research in Uzbekistan looking at water savings and improvements in water use efficiency for food crops. Other greenhouse and modeling studies investigated crop response to soil salinity and regulated deficit irrigation.
