MUSIQUE CHEZ NOUS

2009-2010 Concert Season

Bishop’s University Music Department

The Department of Music at Bishop’s University presents Musique Chez Nous, a concert series featuring the talents of local musicians, visiting artists, and the university’s own music teachers. Our aim is to present a programme that will appeal to all tastes. The 2009-2010 season brings you classical pianists and chamber music, operatic singers and jazz trios. Most of our concerts are held in Bandeen Hall, found at the historic centre of the Bishop’s University campus.

Unless otherwise indicated, concerts are on Friday night at 8:00 pm. Tickets are priced at $15 for adults and $10 for seniors; all students are admitted free to most concerts upon presentation of a student card (university, college, CEGEP, or other school). For concert enthusiasts, Musique Chez Nous offers its special subscription ticket – 6 concert entries for only $60 (adults) and $40 (seniors). This ticket can be used for any concert in the series (with the exception of the University Singers), and can also be used to admit more than one person on the same evening.

Reservations and tickets are available before performance dates at the Box Office at Centennial Theatre (call 819.822.9692). Tickets are also available on the evening of the concert at the Box Office in Bandeen Hall.

Parking is available on the Bishop’s campus; a parking permit for the evening costs only $1, and provides access to any regular parking lot on campus.

* Reservations are strongly advised for the University Singers concerts, as these exciting performances often sell out before the concert date.
