DIGGING/EXCAVATING ON CAMPUS
At the Executive Committee of Corporation Meeting held on Friday, 12 December 2003 the following motion was passed:
"That the University adopt a policy whereby all agencies must obtain written permission from the Buildings & Grounds Department prior to excavating on the campus, or installing fixtures such as tent pegs or sign posts in the ground."
Please ensure when planning activities/events on campus that you have received your written permission before installing tents, sign posts or anything that is going into the ground.
In the event that written permission is not obtained and repairs are necessary because of hitting underground mechanical services the Department initiating the work will be responsible for all the costs for repairs.
