Chapters & Volunteering

Alumni Chapters

Bishop's Alumni Chapters can be found coast to coast and around the world.  Events are organized to keep the Bishop's spirit alive in the different chapters.  Our event goal is to provide different events that appeal to all alumni demographics focusing on three main event categories: social events, cultural events, and family events.  Over the course of one year, chapter volunteers, in the major demographic regions, and the University Advancement Office together attempt to provide events covering all three categories.

For a list of events in your area, visit the events page and see if something is coming up.  If you are interested in organizing an event or joining one of the established volunteer teams in your region, send an email to chapters.alumni@ubishops.ca and we'll connect you!

Volunteering

Whatever your connection to Bishop's and wherever you live in the world, the Bishop's Alumni Association offers volunteer opportunities that suit your interests and fit your schedule.  Our goal is to make volunteering a fun and rewarding experience!  Read more in our Volunteer Guide.

There are numerous ways for alumni to volunteer at Bishop's - many without even coming to campus! Some of the ways graduates volunteer include:

  • Organizing/involvement in alumni events
  • Assisting with student recruitment
  • Prospecting and canvassing donors
  • Mentoring
  • ASK (Alumni Sharing Knowledge)

Interested in volunteering?  Complete our quick online form and a Bishop's staff member will get back to you shortly.

"Bishop's has provided me with some of the people and years that I cherish most in my life.  Being involved with the Bishop's University Alumni Association is a way for me to do my part to ensure our school continues to provide faculty, students and alumni with similar experiences."  Dave Burridge '01
