Bishop’s University Commerce Society (BUCS) is to promote and enhance the undergraduate business student experience at Bishop’s University by representing student interests, inspiring leadership, and empowering students to realize their full potential, as well as to improve and promote the reputation of the Williams School of Business outside of the Bishop’s community.

Bishop’s University Accounting Society (BUAS)

The goal of the Bishop’s University Accounting Society (BUAS) is to inform students about their opportunities within the accounting field through social, academic, and professional interaction. We do so by holding various events throughout the year, which include our annual Wine & Cheese, Case Competition, and guest speakers. This society provides a great resource for those students wishing to pursue their CPA after their undergraduate degree.

Enactus

Enactus is a committee of ambitious students that are eager to leave the comfort of the classroom and apply their growing knowledge to real challenges that affect real people. Their current main project is CLO, designed to revolutionize the tools available to volunteer caretakers of those suffering with dementias.

Enactus stands for:

Bishop’s University Finance Society (BUFS)

The Bishop’s University Finance Society (BUFS) is a student-run association that offers students the best finance-related events, resources and career insights. BUFS pushes a “work hard, play hard” philosophy, which we believe is essential for student success both on and off-campus. Students are challenged to participate in meetings, case competitions, stock simulations and other initiatives aimed towards developing a sense of professionalism and enhancing skill sets prior to entering the job market. The student executive team organizes events and hosts meetings that enable students to exchange ideas, prepare for interviews and connect with BU Alumni within the Financial Services industry. As student leaders, we pride ourselves on sharing our passion and delivering the necessary tools for our peers to achieve their true potential. We look forward to your involvement!
