Sport Studies is an integrated program drawing on the expertise of faculty in Psychology, Sociology, Politics, Business and Health Sciences. The program provides an intensive study of sport and exercise in society. The program is designed to encourage students to adopt an interdisciplinary perspective that gathers together the individual, local, national and international dimensions of sport and exercise. Consequently, it exposes students to the social, biological, political, business and economic aspects of sport in sport in society. It also provides opportunities for practical experiences.

Students interested in the science side of sport are encouraged to consider the Health Science Concentration of the Biology program.

Program Highlights:

  • Facilities include an athletic performance lab.
  • This multidisciplinary program allows students to take courses from a broad spectrum ranging from Social Sciences to Natural Sciences to Business, thereby developing multiple perspectives on the importance of sport in society.
