Sarah is in the Masters Program in Sociology at the University of Ottawa. She writes: …my degree in Sociology has served me extremely well. Before starting my Masters I coordinated the inaugural conference of the Quebec Anglophone Heritage Network (2000); created and implemented a sexual assault prevention project with the Lennoxville and District Women's Centre (2000-2001); and worked at a shelter for homeless women (2001-2002). …My field of research is the Sociology of Health. …I'm working on a content analysis of how the risk of breast cancer is constructed in scientific journals and popular news media. In my spare time, I volunteer for Planned Parenthood Ottawa as a sexual and reproductive health educator, and I also work with their educational theatre troupe for Francophone youth (Théâtre des Lueurs). I guess you could say I'm pretty busy! …The Baudrillard journal is very exciting! I'm also glad to see Norma Husk teaching in sociology at Bishop's. She's a fantastic person.”
