Paul did his Masters degree in Sociology at Simon Fraser University and is presently working with Habitat for Humanity in Costa Rica.   His MA thesis examined the canon of masculinities literature that first exploded in the late 1980's, where he critiques Bob Connell's work on hegemonic masculinity utilizing a poststructuralist theoretical framework. 

Outside of his academic life, Paul enjoys being amazed by the marvels of the natural world, moaning about the state of international politics, and throwing the
odd Frisbee around.
