Katie did her Master degree in Sociology and Equity Studies at the University of Toronto (Ontario Institute for Secondary Education, OISE).  Katie writes: “I lived in Toronto for a year and a half while I completed the class component of my MA requirements, but I longed for mountains, fresh air, and the sea, so I moved out West to Vancouver.  While living in Vancouver, I wrote my thesis, and have since started working.  …Currently, I am a Marketing and Administrative assistant to an Insurance Consultant, and I am in the process of writing my exams to obtain my insurance brokers' license.
