Alexandre is taking a Masters degree in International Relations at Laval University in Quebec City. He writes: “The approach you are taking to keep in touch with past graduates is a real strength of the department.  The study of Sociology prepared me very well for graduate work in International Relations. The study of sociology made me more aware and increased my sensitivity to multiple and intersecting diversities in social life.  I firmly believe that this awareness is your strongest contribution to the leaders of tomorrow. Your Quebec society courses, while taught by Anglophones (and in my case one born outside of Quebec) presented a sympathetic and enlightened understanding of the feelings of the majority of French Quebecers. Thank you for that and for passing on so much else to me”.
