Vanessa Angell (Class of 2002)

Vanessa worked for a year for the (JET) Japanese Exchange and Teaching programme as an Assistant Language Teacher in Nagasaki-ken. She writes: “I very highly recommend the JET programme to graduates. I have decided to devote my time to studying for the GRE's while studying Mathematics and Computer Science at Concordia in 2004. I am really grateful for quantitative tools because I won’t have to take any statistics classes (whoopee!) Hopefully, depending on my GRE results and how I do in Math, I will enter the John Molson School of Business in Event Management and Fundraising Program. …At present I am living with my parents and loving it (adult hood is overrated). I am supply teaching at my local high school and doing communications and fundraising for a local women's shelter called La Residence Elle. I am also heading a community wide White Ribbon Campaign and planning a December 6th symposium on ‘relationship violence’. Life is pretty good and I have no immediate plans to ever really 'grow up'. The coffee intake is under control…”
