Kathy MacRae (Class of 1999)

Kathy has worked for two years as a Diving Instructor in Roatan, Honduras (an island off the North Coast).  She writes: “I love it -- I found my passion for diving when I was touring Australia in 2001 and decided then to become an instructor. I am working my way to Course Director.  Before Honduras I was teaching in Toyota City Japan on the JET Programme.  While there I traveled through Asia into the South Pacific.  The JET experience helped me to realize that I am a good teacher. My sociology background is helpful in my chosen field as I find myself able to understand others and communicate with them on a much better level.  It was a good basis to have as an undergraduate degree. I do miss Bishop’s.”
