Stacey joined the crew of the Royal Clipper (the only five masted sailing cruise ship in the world) spending six months catering to an eclectic mix of cultures, languages, and personalities, while working with an experienced crew from 27 different nations. Following her adventures at sea, Stacy moved to Edinburgh, Scotland for six months. She then found work as a sales consultant with an art publishing company in Montreal which took her all over North America. In 2003 she began a new job as Manager of Promotion and Development for the St. Lawrence Cruise Association. She writes: “I will be working with various individuals on a public (federal and provincial), and private level to promote the region of Quebec as a cruise destination to the international cruise industry. …My years of research, discussion, and debate and each experience I had at Bishop’s, both inside and outside the classroom, have been beneficial in every endeavor since graduation. Choosing Bishop’s and the Department of Sociology to work and study with was one of the best decisions I have ever made.”
