Jennifer has worked for an advertising and design company called TAXI and from November 2003 to June 2004 traveled to Prague to join Cesky Mobil – OSKAR. She writes: “I do a great deal of consumer research (both qualitative and quantitative) which helps me develop a thorough understanding of the target customer. I also do extensive competitive market research to develop an understanding of how our competition is communicating with their customers. I also perform detailed brand analysis to determine where the brand attributes and offerings intersect with consumer and category needs. Finally I make recommendations as to how the brand should be positioned in the marketplace -- and I work with creative teams to see the vision through. It is all very much in the realm of soft science, but it is interesting and gratifying work.”
