International Development Week

International Development Week (IDW) is held at the beginning of February each year across Canada.  It was launched 22 years ago by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) to illustrate and highlight the work of Canada's development community. During this week, a number of universities, schools, regional and provincial councils and other organizations sponsor events that aim to enhance people’s awareness of issues in international development and display the efforts of Canadians in this field.

Each year, Bishop’s University organizes an IDW series of events focused on a particular theme of interest through a joint effort involving faculty, staff and students.
