This talk will be a follow up to the talk presented three weeks ago on the topic of nuclear physics and nuclear power. This week we will focus our attention on the challenges facing a safe implementation of nuclear power, environmental and health risks, comparison of environmental impacts of nuclear power and more traditional power generation, as well as discuss the potential future for nuclear power. This talk will be presented at a basic level, accessible to all undergraduate and cegep students.
