Einstein's General Relativity yielded many predictions; one of them is the existence of propagating gravitational waves. Until now, we have only been able to prove their existence indirectly, mainly by observing binary stellar systems. How would those waves be produced? What would produce them? How are we trying to detect them? These questions will be addressed in this talk.
