What is a Supernova? Are there different types of Supernovae? How do these dramatic events occur? Can the sun explode? The full classification of Supernovae as well as the physical processes driving their explosions will be explained. From historical observations to recent theories, this presentation will answer these questions at a level understandable by everyone.
