UOIT, Ontario's newest university, will launch 3 new M.Sc. programs for entry in fall, 2007; in Modelling and Computational Science, Applied Bioscience, and Materials Science (the last being a joint program with Trent University). Research opportunities for students pursuing these unique interdisciplinary programs will be briefly described in the first part of the talk. The second part of the presentation will present a description of molecular simulation methodology, a computer-based approach for studying processes ranging from environmentally benign refrigerant design to protein-ligand binding.
