Gravity analogues have proven to be a fertile ground for experimentally probing some spacetime phenomena such as Hawking radiation from black holes and "cosmological particle creation" in an expanding universe. Such phenomena are often associated with strong gravitational fields and are therefore beyond the reach of any simple purely gravitational experiments. In this talk I will introduce several of these phenomena and describe their realization in analogues.
